backlinks to GBP

do you do backlinks to your GBP assets? Is this effective at all? I saw someone was offering high authority SAPE links to backup the GBP profile, not sure if that's worth it

I don't think links to the GBP do anything. Link signals aren't part of the Maps platform. Organic rankings can improve map rankings though. So building links to your website can affect your maps rankings.

The impact of GBP as backlinks is limited. But one thing you can do is to use your business GBP link by adding it in other business listings social media links or in additional links sections which can help a lil bit.
