How to access the Google Business Site

Many people have faced problems accessing the Google Business Profile site. On some profiles you couldn't even find the "manage" button anymore. This short guide is for you:

1. Log In To Your Google Profile. Go to your Google Business Profile. You can search for “my business” on Google’s search or go to google.com/business.
Click On “Edit Profile”

2. Click on edit profile so that you see the open pop-up window where you can edit your profile information.

3. Check Frame Source Code. Right-click with your mouse and select “view frame source”. Don’t confuse this with “page source”. We precisely want to see the frame source code of this pop-up window.

4. Find Your Google Business Site ID. The Google Business Site ID is not visible anywhere else, so you need to find it in the source code of this pop up window.
  • In this source code tab, press CTRL+F on a Windows PC or command+F on a Mac to open the search bar.
  • Now type in “data:” (without the “”)
  • If you’re on the correct page, the search bar will show you 8 search results. We’re going to need the last one that looks like on the screenshot.

That's it. You can now find your Google Business Site in your GBP dashboard.

Citation Building - Yext, BrightLocal, or Someone Else?

We had been using Yext for most of our clients, but did not like that they basically own your listings. We moved 2 clients to BrightLocal citations, only to find out that the main 5 aggregators they basically do the same thing (control them). Then all other citations they have a system in place to give you your logins to manage the listings. Great..... HOWEVER, we have noticed a massive drop in "website visibility" on SEMrush, since making the shift to BL. This could be attributed to many things, but it's odd the timing of it being within a month of leaving Yext for BrightLocal.

Any insight or preferred citation builders between these two companies and others out there?
What is everyone else using?

A Thank you to Tim and my summary

Thank you, Tim, for the invitation to the Hypetrix Forums. I look forward to seeing the Forum grow and create value for all its members and Tim's SEO business.

About me:

With over 30 years in the Internet, software, and property sectors and 12 years in director roles in tourism, including a rich background in sustainable tourism development in Southeast Asia, my extensive business experiences in Asia have forged a wide-reaching Pan-Asian and global network.

Since 1975, I've founded and led numerous Danish and global enterprises, partnering with multinationals and governments. Notably, the Danish Government has backed some of my initiatives.

At the end of 2012, I decided to devote time to some of the environmental and social challenges the world is facing. Living more than 19 years on a small tropical island, seeing how much damage the tourism industry has caused, and seeing how nature has returned during the two-year pandemic is clearly a wake-up call.

I have now taken it further, and at the end of 2023, we will at IntraFlas Group LLC and digital marketing agency eFlash Portals launch the eFlash Venture:
  1. eFlashGroup.com: A digital travel partner hub offering tailored digital marketing and sustainable subscription services to hotels, resorts, and tour operators.
  2. eFlashBooking.com: An eco-friendly global booking platform connecting travellers to Southeast Asia's sustainable travel and accommodations.
  3. eFlashShopping.com: Your sustainable shop for holiday clothing and essential gear crafted from ocean-recycled plastic.
  4. Seas2Oceans.org: Our social and environmental enterprise with a focus on land-based coral farming and reef restoration in Southeast Asia.
  5. Seas2Oceans Customer Reward Program: Empowers our customers to make a tangible difference by contributing their points to coral conservation efforts.
  6. Seas2Oceans Portals: Our online marine magazine blends news, ocean conservation and an innovative section dedicated to Coral Reef Satellite mapping.

Small Introduction To The Community

Hi all, I'm WPPromote. Recently joined the forum following a Facebook Post from Tim and thought I would participate in the threads and conversations to see if I can share and learn.

A little bit about me; I've been working with WordPress and Web Design in general for the last 7 years. Also had some pretty successful SEO Campaigns too over the course of my career, although I'm sure some people on here have generated hundreds of thousands in revenue!

Hopefully I can share and learn a few things through the forum, hopefully I'll see you around :)
